Hey you guys! Just wanted to say happy thanksgiving and hope that you have a good one. I am blessed to have my family here in Houston :) Even though we're not that many here, we still make up for a HUGE family XD I am happy to have my friends who are always there when I need them <3 So yeah, I know it's all cliché to say and what not, but just take a second of today to just think about what you're thankful for. OH! And make sure you eat a ton! I can't wait to taste my cousin's chocoflan thingy lol Can't remember what it's called right now XP
OK so, I woke up this morning and remembered that I had to post something and I am completely unprepared so work with me! So on Saturday, November 20, 2010, I was able to attend and Awake Tonight/ Winter Wonder Slam concert with TobyMac and Skillet! You might have read it on last week's post that I went with Ruth, Maira, and Steven :)

John Cooper (personally my favorite photo :D) |

Ben Kasica |
We went to see Skillet last year (seriously it was almost 1 WHOLE year since we last saw them) and we thought that they were absolutely amazing! They basically almost had the same set list as last year, but in different order. Some people might think, "Then why did you go again?" (*cough cough* Dennis). Well they were such great performers and their music is amazing so why not see them again? Last year, we didn't get to see the whole performance because we left early, so what we didn't see last year was Ben Kasica's guitar solo (picture of him to the above right), a violin solo (he played "Deep in the Heart of Texas"!), along with a cello solo :D We also got to hear their song "Lucy" and "Rebirthing" so that was awesome :)

TobyMac singing "City on Our Knees" |
And for the first time, we were able to see TobyMac perform! We love his music, his character, and he is also a great performer. We only had one little problem: HE NEVER COMPLETED A SONG! His songs would go something like this: first verse, chorus, last verse, and end with the chorus. I am not saying he's a horrible performer, he had the charisma to get the attention of an audience, but I mean it would have been better if he would finish our favorite songs, you know. But other than that he was absolutely amazing (:
So yup that's about it XD I know this might not be really interesting to some, but hey you could always give me some ideas about what to write about so just let me know!
Happy Thanksgiving,
Leslie :D
